Data Science Intern
Contributing to applied AI and web application work while building better habits around data preparation, model evaluation, deployment, and communicating technical tradeoffs with a team.
Rafael Anulao
I am a computer science student at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, a data science intern at Alshival.ai, and a biology graduate.
I like work that sits between software and science, practical data tools, and small web systems.
Data Science Intern
Contributing to applied AI and web application work while building better habits around data preparation, model evaluation, deployment, and communicating technical tradeoffs with a team.
Computer Science Practice Ground
Building the fundamentals through projects, coursework, and internship work: algorithms, databases, Linux, Python, web interfaces, and the glue code that turns a useful idea into something another person can actually run.
Community Spaces for UTRGV Clubs
Venture is a web app I developed along with a small group for a software engineering course at UTRGV. The app functions as a platform for students to discover clubs on campus based on their interests and communicate with other members within their clubs. We implemented a matching algortihm for club recommendations, Discord style servers and channels for individual clubs, and real-time chat functionality.
Static Portfolio for Raspberry Pi
This site is intentionally simple: static HTML, one stylesheet, local assets, and no build step. It is designed to be served from a Raspberry Pi.
Compound Synthesis for Biomedical Research
Worked with the UTRGV Chemistry Department synthesizing compounds connected to cancer and diabetes research. That experience still shapes how I think about careful measurement, documentation, and software that respects messy real-world data.
